Message from the chair – Uniting for Change
Dear Pakame Nation,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to our long-awaited Pakame Alumni website! This platform has been a vision for many years, and after overcoming numerous challenges, we are thrilled to finally bring it to life.
Our website is more than just a digital space—it is a home for all former students and staff who share a deep connection to Pakame High School. Every week, we will feature inspiring stories of former students and employees who left a lasting impact on our institution. We want to celebrate their achievements, remember their contributions, and keep the Pakame spirit alive.
To support our community, we are also introducing a Classifieds Section, where members can buy and sell school essentials such as uniforms, textbooks, and school trunks. We hope his will help ease the burden on current students and parents while fostering a sense of support among us. Additionally, our Community Section will serve as a space for meaningful discussions, networking, and collective efforts to improve the school that shaped us.
To keep the site vibrant and relevant, we encourage each stream to elect a group leader who will communicate important updates, events, and achievements to our website administrator for publication. Your involvement is key to making this initiative a success!
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated team behind this project:
- Sandra Mutyora Mapfumo, for her incredible work in designing the website and developing an effective content strategy.
- Socrates Imbayago, for his dedication in sourcing talent and tracking down key people for our publications.
- Justice Runesu, our journalist, who travels far and wide to bring us the stories of Pakame legends who served with integrity.
- Our Founding Members who collectively envisioned and worked tirelessly to the conception of the project.
Now, I ask each of you to share this website with your fellow alumni, spread the word, and help us grow this vibrant online community. Let’s come together, reconnect, and make a meaningful impact on Pakame High School.
The journey has just begun, and together, we can achieve so much more, therefore I call on everyone to a new plateau of compassion dedication commitment and love.
